Ariel Skelley Home Page

Are you interested in being a model for a commercial photo shoot? In a lot of our photographs we use people who are not professional models. The trend in advertising is to use “real people and families.” Big, small, tall, short, 8 months to 80 years it simply doesn’t matter. All that really matters is that you have a friendly personality and an upbeat attitude. Our photos are positive images related to family and business issues..

Our business is Stock Photography. Which means that we are responsible for all planning, logistics, and content of our imagery for which we pay for all expenses with no specific client in mind. We have an agent who attempts to market our images. The agency represents many photographers and acts like a library, but in this case the agency has millions of photos available for use by commercial businesses. The photos are available for purchase by clients and they appear in ads, brochures and various commercial uses. They are never used for anything defamatory or pornographic. There are strict guidelines to their usage. There’s no guarantee that any of the images will sell, but our hope is that we can create images commercial clients would like.

We pay models on both an hourly and daily basis depending on what we need. The rates differ depending on the situation and your experience.

Before each shoot we will ask you to sign a model release which allows us and our agency to market the images for sale. We will show you this release in advance of the shoot so you can read and understand the permission you would be giving us.

Here’s what to do if you’re interested. Please scroll over the photos on the home page. They are typical of the images we make. You might also want to check out corbis.com and gettyimages.com who are two of our agents to see more samples of stock photography.

If you think this might be a fun experience for you please email ariel@arielskelley.com. If you are able to email a low resolution snap shot of yourself that would be helpful for setting up a meeting. We look forward to talking to you about modeling for stock photography.

Thank you.
